Livingroom Warm Up

We added some warmth and fun to this Allston apartment. Nearly everything here is preloved. The ikea couch is a FB Marketplace find, and the green chair is from a friend. There was a coffee table swap, a Craigslist lamp rewire project (See Jane Drill on Youtube), and a Providence Flea Market vintage fabric ($25) turned tapestery. The gallery wall is a combination of Crompton Collective and Savers.

Boutique Guest Bedroom

Sleep in some more in this moody, boutique guest bedroom. We started with peel and stick wallpaper and shaped the room from there. The wardrobe, bed, side tables, and chair already belonged here as this was her daughter’s bedroom. In a nod to her daughter, we spray painted her dance trophies and upcycled them as bookends. The other gallery wall articles are family photos and artwork. We thrifted the waterfall dresser from Habitat for Humanity Restore.  Now her guests have some storage space.

Everyone deserves an enchanted space where they can feel safe, rested, inspired even. Surround yourself with pieces that remind you of your favorite times. And once you’ve done with that fill what you need with preloved pieces.

Simple and Clean Bedroom

This client reached out for help styling the guest bedroom for a 17-year-old high school student who would be staying with her. I shopped at local consignments and sent pictures to my client who was unable to shop with me. I then cleaned and styled the room.

  • I shopped at local consignment shops. We spent just about $300 on styling items and furniture.

In-Law Suite

Decluttering, organizing, and styling project for an adventurer in her 80s. Included kitchen and living room decluttering, reorganizing, and styling; I did the cleaning, decluttering, organizing and styling. The client did the painting.

  • We made a gallery wall displaying images from Betty's favorite places.

  • I did the decluttering, cleaning, and cabinet reorganizing. The client painted.

  • Items needed near the stove, dishes and tea cups are stored near the stove. We kept heavier and everyday items lower.

  • Living space before home organizing.

  • The living room is where Betty keeps her momentos. We added in storage using an ottoman and a dresser under the TV. This opened up floor space for the gallery wall and chair.

  • If it's easy to take out, it's easy to put away.
